Little Sprout with Shadow

Little Sprout with Shadow, originally uploaded by King Bulvi.

Do you ever feel like a tiny little sprout on a gigantic tree? There are enormous limbs all around you, with thousands of leaves to their credit, but you are just one minuscule leaf. Yeah, I never feel that way, and you've got issues if you do. Haha, no just kidding. I actually just liked the contrast between this tiny sprout against the large tree. The little shadow added an interesting touch too. You can make your own existential interpretation of what it could symbolize.

Orchid

I bought this orchid for Sarah for Mother's Day, and it is still blooming strong! Just like our relationship. haha - so corny.

Sun Burst

Sun Burst, originally uploaded by King Bulvi.

One of the things I like about photography is how it pushes me to look at life differently, uniquely, and with fresh perspectives. I was at the park with Phoebe and Max, and I sat down under a tree to rest and gain some respite under its shade. I looked up and saw how beautiful the colors were, with the green of the leaves and the blue sky, topped off with the sun bursting behind it.

Fruit-Kabob

Fruit-Kabob, originally uploaded by King Bulvi.

So Phoebe's 3rd birthday today, and I was handed the responsibility of skewering fruit on bamboo kabobs (3-year-olds and bamboo spikes - a good combination, right?). When I finished and had them sitting on the plate, I just had to take some photos of it, since it had such vivid colors and whatnot. Anyway, enjoy!

Photo of the Week #16

Coffee Beans - 6/52 Weeks, originally uploaded by King Bulvi.

I love coffee. Not the cheap nasty crap like Folgers or Maxwell House. Not even the preground Seattle's Best or Starbucks. I like freshly roasted whole bean coffee covered in its rich delectable oils, freshly ground and steeped in a French press. Anything short of this is mediocre at best. So here's to one of the tastiest hot beverages on the planet!

Photo of the Week #15

It rained A LOT recently. This is a shot of Phoebe having some fun in some extremely large puddles at the park.

Rainy Day, originally uploaded by King Bulvi.

Today rained the hardest I think I can remember it ever raining in LA. Rain, of course, is always beautiful in LA. The smog is removed. The dirt is washed away. And everything feels clean and vibrant with life.
